Your answers will be reviewed and you will then be contacted by email whether you have been approved or denied. If approved, you will be given the special registration link to officially register***

This live webinar will assist trainers/supervisors/administrators in developing their teaching skills relative to teaching about independent criteria, overrides, and clinical rationales with the LOCUS (Level of Care Utilization System). Emphasis will be on teaching and assessing for competency on this subject matter.

Objective

Course Objectives:

  1. Participants will identify the purpose of having “independent criteria” built into the LOCUS and how it affects scoring and Level of Care determination.
  2. Participants will learn about the importance of risk management as part of clinical practice and LOCUS use.
  3. Participants will identify the purpose of overrides within the LOCUS and relevancy of writing clinical rationales.
  4. Participants will examine each of the three dimensions affected by independent criteria and develop strategies for teaching scoring for these dimensions.
  5. Participants will identify five teaching approaches for educating on LOCUS overrides and clinical rationales.
